Fifth Grade ResourcesStudents are working on playing thier recorders in class. They will be playing songs, reading music, and composing with the pitches G, A, and B pn the treble clef. Materials and notes for this unit will be located in their music folders. The last week of September, students will be practicing identifying randomly presented pitches notated int he treble clef as a way of fullfilling the standard of READING AND NOTATING MUSIC. The following site will be used to help students practice for the test: http://www.netrover.com/~kingskid/note_naming/flash_card/note_flashcard.html Students are free to ractice for this test at home by clicking on the site above. However, they will recieve plenty of time to practice in class and re-take the formal test at least once if neccessary. The first week of October, students will have a formal test over pitch identification in the treble clef. This will take place as a means of evaluating and assessing the teaching-learning process that was completed the previous week during music class.
